About CAARA
CAARA - Chapman Avenue Area Residents Association was formed in April 2008 and exists for the purpose of uniting the residents to:
- protect our homes and the environment from the negative effects of proposed local development
- work together to influence the work and support of utility companies (e.g. sewage)
- promote neighbourly activities (clearing the road in snow, parking issues, lighting, etc.,)
- organise local events for members to participate in social activities
- maintain a monitoring eye on what the local authorities may be planning
- use our collective voice to better influence local decision making affecting our homes

If you would like more information or become a member of the Chapman Avenue Area Residents Association (CAARA), please let us know via one of the CAARA committee members below.
Our annual membership fee is £5.00 per household (regardless of how many residents there are in the house). The membership is renewable on the 1st of April each year and a new membership listing will be published for the benefit of keeping our members updated with the various news and activities that are being planned. A newsletter will also be published and circulated to all members at various times throughout the year. CAARA membership also includes automatic inclusion in our neighbourhood watch scheme.

SECURITY OF MEMBERS INFORMATION
The management committee of CAARA is required under the General Data Protection Regulation (a revision of the Data Protection Act), which came into force on May 25th 2018, to ensure that all information held on behalf of our members is only done so with the permission of those members.
The only information of members held by CAARA is limited to names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses if appropriate and are only held for our own membership purposes and circulation of our own, internal information. That information is strictly confidential and would not be divulged to any third parties or outside bodies without your express permission.
With that in mind if there are any members that do not wish to give permission for their data to be held on our files, would they please inform one of the committee members listed on our website, so that the information can be removed or amended if they so wish.
